Dance Your Ass off
Student party goers in Huddersfield were treated when world-renowned dance music producer and DJ, Chris Lake, came to the Camel Club, Huddersfield, to play an exclusive three-hour set.
As well as Chris Lake’s exclusive headlining set, street dancers from a Sheffield dance group demonstrated their skills in the back room to sign-up students to learn the art of urban street dancing themselves.
Dave Biddle, owner of the Camel Club, said: “Our Thursday nights have become a bit legendary with the students of Kirklees, so to have such a big name here caused a bit of a stir!”

According to research with students, going out, having fun and partying are important activities, with dancing popular among both makes and females. A high-profile event was planned to introduce the brand Upforit, encourage HE students to dance more as a fun form of exercise and to launch a series of dance classes. DJ Chris Lake would be invited to headline the event and create a buzz amongst the student population. A local dance group would be invited to showcase their talents, run a dance class and encourage students to enrol for future dance classes.
